Boston Bucket List

  1. Trade (on the waterfront) – a Julia Child’s inspired menu that I’ve been dying to try! The original restaurant is on Atlantic Wharf in Boston’s waterfront; however, there is also one in the financial district. Every time I pass by the tall glass windows I promise myself that eventually I’ll wander inside…and now, with my days suddenly limited in Boston, I guess I better make this happen soon.
  2. Boston Duck Tour – I know, I know… how incredibly touristy of me… but honestly, anything that can drive around the city and then float on the harbor is good in my book. Plus, I’ll get the added benefit of actually learning about where I’ve lived for the last few years of my life. Those of you who know me know... unless it’s off the mass pike, I can’t find a damn thing in Boston. I wish this was a joke.
  3. A night at The Butcher Shop (a wine bar in the South End) – we attempted to go there several months ago after a few hours of open art galleries and tiny sips of free wine at “First Friday”. Unfortunately, the reservation list was well over three hours, and we weren’t committed enough to wait…
  4. The Beehive – restaurant / bar / live music… what else does a place need?
  5. Rooftop Champagne Brunch at the Taj Boston Hotel – because who doesn’t love rooftops... and champagne... and brunch? It’s a little pricey, and probably only worth doing once (in the summer) but, hell, why not?
  6. St. Patty’s Day Parade in Southie – we did this last year and had an absolute blast... Maybe this year we'll actually see the parade though? I know that may be pushing my luck - with all the Irish celebrating we have to do that day...

  7. We've been told there is a lazy river somewhere on the BU campus. It could be a big, scandalous lie that BU alums have been claiming for years and years to make their university seem cool... or it could really exist and be the best few hours we've ever spent in a college gymnasium. Clearly hoping for the latter... but curious either way.

  8. Codzilla... obviously

  9. Lululemon Yoga Class – These are all over Boston (usually in the summertime) and they are FREE! Just bring a mat and a bottle of water and you’re all set… gotta jump on this train before it’s too late.

  10. HarpoonFest... We've done the drinking part of this event before... Maybe this year we'll do the running part too ("Harpoon 5-miler"). Who’s with me?
